3 Best Downtown Vancouver Hotels With Free Breakfast
Are you looking for Downtown Vancouver hotels with free breakfast?
Nothing is better than having a free breakfast at the hotel you’re staying in. It’s definitely one of my checklist items when choosing a hotel.
I was born and raised in Vancouver. I’m not going to lie: eating out in Vancouver can get expensive, so I understand that looking for a hotel with free breakfast is a bonus.
However, there are few hotels in Downtown Vancouver that offer a free breakfast, but lucky for you, I found three that do.
Downtown Vancouver Hotels With Free Breakfast
When booking in Vancouver, keep in mind that hotels are expensive when staying in Downtown Vancouver, especially when it’s closer to the summer months or any long weekends.
These hotels in Downtown Vancouver offer free breakfasts without packages and deals.
St Regis Hotel
โญ Rating: 8.7/10 |๐ Location: Dunsmuir Street | โ Book Now
The beautiful boutique Canadian-owned and operated St Regis Hotel is in an excellent location in Downtown Vancouver (steps away from Granville SkyTrain Station)
While it’s a heritage building, the hotel has been renovated and modernized. It’s highly rated for its cleanliness, comfort, and helpful staff.
Rooms are available as single beds, double beds, or suites. All rooms include free FIJI water bottles replenished daily, free long-distance and local calls, Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, and more.
While the St Regis doesn’t have a fitness centre or pool, guests can use a business centre 24 hours a day.
๐ฅ The free breakfast is for up to two guests. There are three options:
- The continental breakfast (a simple small breakfast like a parfait or cereal with a bakery item and fruit).
- A traditional breakfast.
- A three-egg omelet.
Hampton Inn & Suites By Hilton Vancouver-Downtown
โญ Rating: 8.2/10 |๐ Location: Robson Street | โ Book Now
In another excellent location, the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton is perfect for those looking to be closer to the stadiums in Vancouver.
The hotel offers rooms in single beds, double beds, or suites. It also has a fitness centre, business centre, and dog-friendly room options (extra fees apply).
Guests have said the Wi-Fi is known to be spotty or doesn’t work around the hotel. However, if you run into that issue (which is not ideal, I get it), I suggest going to a cafe nearby to use the Wi-Fi if you can’t get it to work in the hotel. There’s a cafe down the block called Rocanini Coffee Roasters.
๐ฅ The free breakfast is buffet-style.
Residence Inn Vancouver Downtown By Marriott
โญ Rating: 8.5/10 |๐ Location: Hornby Street | โ Book Now
The Residence Inn Vancouver Downtown is an excellent choice if you would like to be away from the central hub of downtown.
The all-suite hotel has options for single or double beds. The hotel also offers an indoor swimming pool, mobile key and digital check-in, fitness centre, and more. The hotel is also a 12-minute walk from Sunset Beach.
๐ฅ The free breakfast is buffet-style and served Monday to Friday from 6:30 to 9:30 AM and Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 to 10:00 AM.
Other Breakfast Locations In Vancouver
Sometimes, eating at the same place or the same thing over and over can be tiring. If you’re staying in Vancouver for over three days, here are other places to enjoy breakfast.
- Jam Cafe has three locations: Beatty Street, Kitsilano, and Lonsdale (North Vancouver). It’s a popular and excellent place to grab breakfast.
- Maxine’s Cafe & Bar โ Another popular spot for breakfast or brunch.
- Yolks โ The main menu option is poached eggs. I like their Smokehouse Bacon.
Best Time To Visit Vancouver
While Vancouver is a year-round destination in Canada, the best time to visit is from May to September. However, these are the busiest times, and prices will be higher overall. Plus, there will be more tourists around the city.
If you want to visit on a budget, October to April is the best time. However, there will likely be more rain during these months. There are fewer tourists, and prices tend to be more reasonable.
My biggest local tip is that you’ll be okay if you’re prepared for the rain with the proper raincoat, rain boots, and umbrella.
How To Get Around Vancouver
Getting around Vancouver without using a car will be your best option unless you plan to venture out to other locations five hours away.
Utilizing local public transit will be your best option, especially in downtown. The SkyTrain will take you to high-traffic areas and to and from the airport.
Vancouver also has an extensive bus network that’ll take you to popular tourist locations and neighbourhoods.
