Downtown Vancouver Hotels With Outdoor Pools

There are only a handful of Downtown Vancouver hotels with outdoor pools. Some have beautiful views, and some have city views.

#1 Fairmont Pacific Rim

โญ Rating: 9/10 Stars | ๐Ÿ“ Location: Canada Place Way | โœ… Book Now

The Fairmont Pacific Rim is a luxurious hotel with standout amenities.

Don’t get mixed up with the Fairmont Waterfront; Pacific Rim and Waterfront are different hotels. Funny enough, both hotels are only a block away from each other. However, the Fairmont Pacific Rim has a slightly better rating than Waterfront.

The hotel features a spacious 4,000-square-foot gym with modern facilities for wellness enthusiasts and a full-service spa. There’s also the TASCHEN library, where you can explore international art collections.

Dining at Fairmont Pacific Rim offers three options. The Lobby Lounge and RawBar provide nightly live music, sushi, and craft cocktails.

The Botanist, with its bar, terrace garden, dining room, and lounge, serves a menu inspired by botany and organic farming. And 24-hour in-room dining is also available.

The hotel is in an excellent spot, only a few blocks from Waterfront SkyTrain Station and right in front of the Vancouver Convention Centre. And Robson Street shopping area is within a 15-minute walk.

The Fairmont Pacific Rim rooftop pool is more private than other outdoor pools. It’s surrounded by fire pits, a hot tub, and a Cabana Bar, which is open on Wednesdays and Sundays

There’s a view; however, the Vancouver Convention Centre is most of the view. But you can still see peaking mountain views and the ocean from certain angles.

#2 Fairmont Waterfront

The Fairmont Waterfront offers a comfortable stay connected to the Vancouver Convention Centre and the Canada Place Cruise Ship Terminal.

A five-minute walk lands you in the historic charm of Gastown, and Waterfront SkyTrain Station access is right in front of the hotel entrance across the street.

Accommodations offer contemporary elegance with classic touches, providing natural light and city or harbour views through floor-to-ceiling windows.

The hotel features a 50-foot-wide outdoor heated pool with views of the North Shore Mountain and Vancouver Harbour. An indoor hot tub, lounge chairs, and change rooms are also available.

The ARC Restaurant serves on-site for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And there’s also the option for in-room dining.

The Fairmont Waterfront also provides a health club with a modern gym, hot tub, and steam rooms for relaxation.

#3 The Westin Bayshore

โญ Rating: 8.5/10 Stars | ๐Ÿ“ Location: Bayshore Drive | โœ… Book Now

The Westin Bayshore Hotel offers a resort feel with direct access to the Vancouver Seawall and Stanley Park. The hotel is a hub for well-being, featuring the WestinWORKOUT fitness studio, Just Add Water Yoga Studio, and Vida Spa.

I recommend staying at the Westin if you have children.

The Westin has a gorgeous heated outdoor pool, as this is one of the biggest hotel outdoor pools in the city. The significantly large circular pool sits right next to the seawall. But, there are privacy bushes and trees surrounding the area.

If you’re looking for Downtown Vancouver hotels with an indoor and outdoor pool, the Westin Bayshore is the only hotel in Downtown Vancouver that has both.

The hotel has three on-site options for either dining or having a coffee break: H2 Kitchen & Bar, H Tasting Lounge, and T & Co Cafe.

The Westin is further away from the central location of Downtown Vancouver. Still, a bus route is close to the hotel within walking distance.

#4 Pan Pacific Vancouver

โญ Rating: 8.3/10 Stars | ๐Ÿ“ Location: Canada Place | โœ… Book Now

The Pan Pacific Vancouver is conveniently located next to the Canada Place cruise ship terminal. A short walk to the Waterfront Station SkyTrain, the location provides easy access to the city’s tourists and non-touristy spots in Vancouver.

Enjoy the simplicity of the hotel with practical amenities such as the fitness centre and Spa Utopia Health and Wellness Center. And, of course, the best outdoor saltwater pool with stunning oceanfront and mountain views.

A hot tub is also available to the left of the pool. Of course, lounge chairs are also available along the edges of the pool and on the sundeck and they’re first come, first serve.

The hotel has three on-site restaurants, such as the Oceans 999 Restaurant and Five Sails Restaurant, or unwind at Coal Harbour Bar or enjoy in-room dining.

#5 Hilton Downtown Vancouver

โญ Rating: 8.6/10 Stars | ๐Ÿ“ Location: Robson Street | โœ… Book Now

The Hilton Downtown Vancouver is the closest hotel in the city, with an outdoor pool at the corner of Robson and Homer Street.

With easy access to Yaletown and Downtown Vancouver, the hotel is in an excellent spot for dining and entertainment options and proximity to major concert and sports venues.

Unwind in the rectangular-shaped outdoor pool, open year-round with a hot tub off to the side. The fitness center offers city views, enhancing your workout experience. However, as it’s further from the waterfront, there are no mountain views.

Most guest suites have floor-to-ceiling windows with a minibar and cable TV for convenience. The on-site Hendricks restaurant is a convenient breakfast, lunch, and dinner option.

#6 Hyatt Regency Vancouver

โญ Rating: 8.4/10 Stars | ๐Ÿ“ Location: Burrard Street | โœ… Book Now

The Hyatt Regency Vancouver is centrally located on Burrard Street. Ideal for leisure and business travellers, the hotel has easy access to Robson Street as it’s a block away and public transit at the Burrard SkyTrain Station

Rooms and suites include practical amenities like a well-equipped gym, business center, complimentary Wi-Fi, and the hotel’s signature Hyatt Grand Beds. You can also choose a balcony room for views of the Vancouver skyline and mountains.

Relax four stories above the streets in the outdoor pool or oversized hot tub. The Hyatt is another outdoor pool hotel fantastic for children if you are staying in Vancouver for the first time.

Dining options include Mosaic Grille, Grain Tasting Bar for cocktails, and on-site Starbucks.

#7 L’Hermitage

โญ Rating: 9.2/10 Stars | ๐Ÿ“ Location: Richards Street | โœ… Book Now

The award-winning boutique L’Hermitage Hotel, one of Vancouver’s hidden hotels, is luxurious and conveniently near Robson Street, so you are in an excellent location.

Each room and suite is modern and thoughtfully furnished for comfort. L’Heritage Hotel emphasizes quality service and amenities such as a fully-equipped business centre, boardroom, and fitness studio.

Take advantage of the 15-metre rectangular saltwater outdoor lap pool and hot tub. You can also unwind at the outdoor garden and terrace.

Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere in L’Orangerie, where you can enjoy high tea with various treats or an A La Carte breakfast or dining menu. The menu offers authentic Continental and Southeast Asian teas throughout the day.

#8 Shangri-La Vancouver

โญ Rating: 8.8/10 Stars | ๐Ÿ“ Location: West Georgia Street | โœ… Book Now

The Shangri-La Vancouver occupies 15 floors of one of the tallest buildings and one of the most well-known high-end hotels in Vancouver. The hotel has modern amenities in its 119 spacious rooms and suites with Asian-inspired design.

Floor-to-ceiling windows provide panoramic views of Downtown Vancouver; over half of the rooms have private balconies. The marble-clad bathrooms feature heated floors and a TV embedded in the mirror.

Chi, The Spa is a full-service retreat offering treatments in a tranquil setting. A modern fitness center and an outdoor pool provide opportunities for exercise and relaxation.

I would have to say that the Shangri-La has the most uniquely shaped pool. It is a rhombus outdoor pool with one of the corners carved out for the circular hot tub.

It’s a compact area; it doesn’t have the best seating area compared to the other hotels. The pool is also shallow at 3.33 to 3.75 feet deep.

Shangri-La Vancouver’s fantastic location makes exploring the city’s attractions easy, as it’s a few blocks from the waterfront and shopping on Robson Street.

#9 Sandman Suites Vancuver — Davie Street

โญ Rating: 7.3/10 Stars | ๐Ÿ“ Location: Davie Street | โœ… Book Now

The Sandman Suites Vancouver, Davie Street, is the furthest away on this list from Downtown Vancouver. However, it is arguably the most affordable hotel with an outdoor pool. After the Westin, the Sandman is the second-best outdoor pool for children.

The suites feature fully equipped kitchens with ovens and dishwashers, in-suite complimentary tea and coffee (coffee maker and kettle available), and a walk-out balcony with limited views.

There are on-site amenities such as a fitness centre and 24-hour business centre. While it’s further from the central city, the hotel is five blocks away from Sunset Beach and has public buses for your convenience.

Conclusion

As you can see, Downtown Vancouver hotels with outdoor pools offer a well-rounded combination of comfort and leisure. With impressive views of the mountains or city views, facilities, and reliable hospitality, these hotels provide practical and enjoyable accommodation choices.
